Welcome, I’m Michi.

I am a fine artist specializing in Copper Foiled Stained Glass and Traditional Gold Gilding. My illustrative style explores the strength and fragility of femininity, often intertwined with the natural world. While I have a diverse background that includes cut paper sculpture, mixed media, and glass painting, my focus is on traditional glass artistry.

I founded Underscore Glasserie to make the beautiful craft of working with glass more accessible to the city I love, fostering a stronger community for the arts in Jersey City.

With a background in digital product design and an MFA from Pratt University, I merge both manual techniques and digital technologies to dive into traditional craft. I have been creating art in Jersey City for the last decade, with commissioned works and exhibits that include Sotheby's, international art exhibits, and a lecture at the Universidad de Los Andes.
